Well done with our ceremony, it was perfect for us. The hassel free planning with us being out of town was not bother, and your emails and calls where informative and so helpful in planning our day. Loved your check list don't know what I would have done with out it. Married life is fantastic, it compliments the ceremony, as that also was fantastic and so romantic and personal.C

Hi Julianne,
Just a follow up after my phone call to say thanks again for making our day so wonderful earlier this month.
Just got your email regarding feed back so am replying to say!!
The wind and the rain threathening was all taken in your stride, and I so want to say that we where over the moon with the way the ceremony flowed, the wording was so spot on for our situation.
Thanks you for making the process so relaxing and with no stress. We appreciate your help with the long distance correspondance, and for the added touch bringing your Bamboo Teepee decorations, they look fabulous in the photos, will send them on when I get them.

Thanks
I would like to thank you for performing our ceremony, we thought you did an outstanding job and facilitated a ceremony which was beautiful and deeply moving to us. Our ceremony was everything we wanted and hoped for. It was an absolute pleasure interacting with you and one of the more pleasing aspects was that you seemed to “get” straight away the type of ceremony we were after. You made us both feel calm, relaxed and comfortable before and during [the ceremony, which was] fantastic! Unreal! Awesome! Guests commented on how nice the ceremony was and how good the celebrant was.
Thank you for everything and sharing in our special day. It was great. We both felt very comfortable with you and weren't worried about a thing. You were fantastic. xxxxzzz

Kind words
Julzz, you are truly the most gorgeous celebrant we could ever have wished for. You have been so supportive, so flexible, so sensitive and so sneakily secretive in the preparation! with Williams surprise ritual for the vows. It was only surpassed by your poise, dignity and humour at the event itself. You understood what we wanted absolutely perfectly and our families are still gushing over “the best celebrant you could have possibly found”. Thank you so much. Vee

Julianne,Thank you for everything you have done, you helped me with so much and I appreciate it. We had an amazing day. I just wish we could do it all again, it goes far too fast. I definitely felt at ease before and during the ceremony, you made it very relaxed and it suited both of us. Your service could not have been any better. You helped me all the way through and were prompt with phone calls, emails etc and made both of us feel very relaxed. Honestly, you are lovely, down to earth and exactly what we were looking for so big thanks :-) I stopped searching when I met you. J
Words from my couples
We want to thank-you for your geniune personal touch to our wedding. Our photos show you facial expressions enjoying the ceremony just as much, if not more, than us!!! We were worried about finding the right celebrant as this is THE part of the day. As soon as we saw your photo on the internet, we knew it was right. Our ceremony was just amazing, so comfortable and topped off by your real emotion. Kel and Vikram
Thanks.
Julianne, e would just like to say a big thank you to you for helping create our perfect day. We loved [the service]. Dealing with so many weddings, I really didn't want ours to be a cookie cutter ... I wanted it to reflect us, which it did with your help and guidance. You were professional and related to both of us well and helped us create a laid back, fun ceremony. I have already given your details to two friends getting married!

I would like to say thank you so much for being our celebrant for our wedding. Some of our guests commented on how at ease you made everybody feel and that was true for me also... I was pretty nervous leading up to the ceremony and for the first few minutes of the ceremony but you made me feel a lot better, quickly! Thank you so much. I am really glad we decided to have you as our celebrant!
Just a quick email to say a BIG thankyou for being our celebrant for our wedding last Saturday. Our ceremony was so lovely and so much fun that I didn't even think about crying!! (This is a big thing for me as I'm such a teary person at weddings!). Everyone said how great you were, and we really appreciated your organisation and being so relaxed yet professional.

Changing Your Name
Changing your surname
Changing your surname does not automatically happen after your wedding day. The certificate that you will receive on your wedding day is not enough to change your name. After the completion of your service, the marriage celebrant has 14 days to send in all their documentation to the register of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) (though I do it the next business day). It then takes about 14 days for BDM to process everything.
If you take up my offer for me to lodge your certificate for you, and add the payment details to the form, then turn over is about 4 to 6 weeks.
IF YOU DECIDE TO APPLY LATER THEN
The following website has the form that you need to fill out to obtain your official marriage certificate
Only one of you need to apply for this, and if it is the bride, then all information must be completed in your maiden name. Once you have filled it in, you can either send it in to BDM or take it there yourself. If you are sending it, you need to provide certified copies of the three identification categories found on the form. To certify your ID, you need to take them to a Justice of the Peace ( which most pharmacists are, and you also might find one in your local police station).
There are 2 types of marriage certificates. The first is the standard certificate, which is the one that you need to change your name. The second are the commemorative certificates, and these are purely decorative and cannot be used for official business (they are really only if you want to put one in a frame on the wall)
The cost of this is as follows as at the time of print
For the standard certificate, Qld $37 NSW $45
For a commemorative certificate (which also includes a standard certificate) it is Qld $50 NSW$67
After you have received your official certificate, you can go about changing your name. I found the following site that you can obtain a pack of information, which may be useful
If you have any questions about changing your name, please do not hesitate to contact me Julianne@ceremoniesbyjulzz.com.au
Changing your name on Face Book
Changing your name on Face Book:
OK, so now you’re married? What next? Often the first thing you think of in this day in age, is changing your name and Facebook status from Engaged to Married. Here is a step by step guide to help you:
Go to your Facebook profile: Look for the top right hand corner where it says ‘Account”, click on that, then go to “Account Settings”, then select Edit for the name. Delete the last name and type your new surname.
You can change your name to your fresh new married name and help your mates find you by using your maiden name as an ‘alternative name’.
Don’t forget to change your relationship status to married ♥

Words from my Couples
Testimonials from my couples:
Well, I hardly know where to begin with you! So I guess I will begin by saying that the day after the wedding when one of our guests started going on about how fabulous you were (and we were wholeheartedly agreeing), I got very sad when I realised that we wouldn't see you again! It had completely slipped my mind that we had paid you for a service and I think had convinced myself that we were best mates and I'd be seeing you down the pub sooner rather than later! So, I was rather distressed when the reality hit home but I think this really does just go to show how awesome you are at what you do. You fitted effortlessly into our day and truly felt a part of our celebration.
I thought the choices were great, not too many that we felt overwhelmed, just enough to promote inspiration and allow us to add our own touches. [The service] was just perfect - warm and completely in the moment with us. So many [of our guests] commented that you were the best they have ever seen. You really were the talk of the town! Don’t change a thing, you were an absolute delight. Forthcoming with information and speedy to respond, always happy to point us in the right direction. We really can’t thank you enough, you are an absolute champion.
I would like to say a big thank you for doing such a wonderful ceremony, we couldn't have asked for more perfect day! Many our guests commented on our vows and how lovely the ceremony was. Thanks also for calming our nerves on the day, your presence made us both feel very at ease. The service you provided was outstanding and it has been a pleasure dealing with you. Thanks again for making our wedding so special, we will certainly continue to recommend you to others.

Considering using cupcakes in lieu of cake at your wedding? Why not have them do double duty as decorations as well? This Cupcake Topiary Tree was featured in Food Network Magazine in their May 2010 issue.
To make your Cupcake Topiary Tree you'll need:
1 Terracotta pot
Floral Foam
12 inch floral foam ball
12 inch dowel

Pink Paint
Mini cupcake liners 24
Straight Pins
Toothpicks
Directions:
Fill the terracotta pot with floral foam, and insert a 12 inch dowel or thick stick in foam. If you're using a dowel you'll need to paint it brown before placing it. Rice at Weddings!
So you’ve decided to make your walk down the aisle a bit “wow” with confetti and you’ve come across a big stumbling block. A confetti ban.
Believe it or not such bans do exist and while we love a happy bride you can understand there are certain factors, not the less environmental ones, that mean a venue would consider denying you a confetti filled exit.
(If you are still not convinced and think your venue should allow confetti take a whole punch and a ream of paper. Punch out a million little circles, dump them on your living room floor, do a few rounds of zumba, then try and vaccum the pieces up.)
So, what to do?
Cry, obviously. It’s not going to change anything but it might make you feel a little better. Then get the thinking cap out and come up with another way to make a splash.
Bubbles
Harmless and stylish and also very fun.
Eco Friendly Confetti
It does exist and breaks down in 24-48 hours. And there is no danger to any little animal friends so it is great for outdoors.
Roses or Petals
Obviously biodegradable but also VERY stainable. Be cautious with this option.
Rice
Not to be thrown too hard… OUCH! Not echo friendly, and birds can choke on the rice.

Wet Weather Venues Gold Coast
Everyone plans for a perfect wedding.. and has to hope that the weather obliges. There are a million and one things that are within your control at a wedding. You can make sure fighting aunties are kept apart, you can keep the bestman away from the bar (if need be) but you can’t control the weather.
That’s why an alternate venue is so important and not just in the chance of rain.
For whatever the reason this year the weather has been a little wacky.
Gold Coast weather is unpredictable we can have a horrid heat streak with temps in the high 30′s that had everyone pumping up the air-con Horrid. Imagine if that also happened to be the day of your ceremony.
I always advise couples that an alternate venue is a must. Why? Because no one wants to be soaking drenched or sweaty all for the sake of a picturesque location. Trust me, red faced brides or dripping grooms do not make for good photos no matter who the photographer.
Having a Plan B and also accepting that you may need to use it may just save your wedding and make it an enjoyable day.
Some words of wisdom – if you have to make a call about the weather, make it early in the day. Mainly, it gives you time to accept that your ceremony will be in a different location to the one you planned for, it gives you time to get the word out to guests and it gives you time to make your new location as pretty as possible.
In the end it’s all about getting married, and sharing that day with the one you love, and it shouldn’t really matter where that is… just so long as you end up married to the one you love

How to write your own wedding Vows
How to write your own wedding & commitment vows
I encourage you to write your own wedding and commitment ceremony vows to declare on your wedding day or celebration of commitment. It will make your ceremony very special, unique and meaningful to you.
Your ceremony vows don't have to be complex and they don't have to be the same.
Consider whether you are going to
1. Have them read out or read by the celebrant and then you will repeat them
2. or if you will read off a card to each other.
3. Memorising them is for a select few only as it puts a lot of pressure on to remember them. If this feels comfortable for you, then by all means do so and have a back up plan just in case you forget for whatever reason.
For in depth ideas on creating your own vows read my attachment and see below and select one and personalise to suit, or choose one of the several traditional vows
For a marriage ceremony the only legal requirement for your vows, that must be included within the ceremony, are the words according to Section 45 of the Marriage Act 1961: To be said by both of the parties to the marriage in the presence of the authorised celebrant and witnesses.
'I ask the persons here present to witness that I, A.B., take you, C.D. to be my lawful wedded husband (or wife)'
There is also the The Traditional Vow:
“I ask the persons here present to witness that I, (name), take you, (name), to be my lawful wedded wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, as long as we both shall live. Or (till death do us part)

(the legal vows may be included in the primary vows, or before or after them, or in the ring vows - your choice)
“Francesca, I choose you above all others as my best friend, my lover and my wife. I love, trust and respect you and will cherish you always. I offer you my care and support with an open heart. Francesca, I will share the laughter and the tears, the joy and the sorrow and embrace all that life brings us.”
"I am honoured to share this life with you as my husband. We share a beautiful friendship that has seen us overcome many hurdles together. I honour your commitment to our relationship and offer you the same. I value your loyalty and dedication to me and our family. With the respect and willingness we share I know what we have will last forever"
"You are my best friend and my dearest companion. I want to make a promise, to you and to myself, in front of our closest family and friends, that I will love you always, I will respect and honour you as the beautiful woman you are, I will support and protect you to the best of my abilities ... all of this with an open heart. Let us always be friends, lovers and good companions... and grow old together. I love you ... now and forever."
"I call upon everyone here present to witness that I, Bryan, take you, Elizabeth, to be my lawful wife, my lover, my friend and companion. You are my one true love. I trust and respect you and will continue to laugh and cry with you, loving you faithfully through whatever may come. I give you my hands to hold and my life to share, for as long as we both shall live."
"Today I give myself to you in marriage. I love the way we laugh and play together - I love our adventures and know that we will have many more. I appreciate the way we can 'sit in the fire' together, when we get grumpy or out of sorts, and come through the other side with a new perspective. I want to work by your side, holding your hand for many years to come, creating a home that is filled with love and good times. Today I marry you with the greatest respect for what we share."
If you like the traditional vows and the idea of saying “ IDO”, but also want to have personal vows here is an idea!
We can have as the asking before the vows

Wedding Music
Imagine this: The day, the moment and the hour has arrived on your very special day. Your guests are seated and your Fiance is eagerly awaiting you at the end of the aisle! The music starts and you make your grand entrance…. But what song will it be? Are you a traditionalist, getting married in a church or outdoors, or do you want something fresh and modern to walk down the aisle too? If your answer is “I don’t know” then here is some ideas for you.
If you are looking at doing a more traditional wedding in a church and you don’t want the traditional “Here comes the Bride” (Wagner’s, “Bridal Chorus”) or something classical while you are walking down the aisle then you will need to contact your Priest, Pastor or other officient to get confirmation that this will be ok.
Here are some traditional songs that you may like to have a look at:
1. “Procession of Joy” (Hal Hopson)
2. “Spring” (from The Four Seasons), (Antonio Vivaldi)
3. “Canon in D” (Johann Pachelbel)
4. “Air” (from Water Music Suite), (George F. Handel)
5. “Trumpet Voluntary” (Jeremiah Clarke)
6. “Bridal Chorus” (from Lohengrin), (Richard Wagner)
7. “Te Deum” (Marc-Antoine Charpentier)
8. “The Prince of Denmark’s March” (Jeremiah Clarke)
9. “Wedding March” (from The Marriage of Figaro), (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)
10. “Rigaudon” (Andre Campra)
On the other hand if you are looking at an outdoors ceremony or at a non religious venue the musical world is your oyster! Here is a list of the top 20 voted most popular wedding songs to walk down the aisle too
1. “At Last” (Etta James)
2. “You and Me” (Lifehouse)
3. “Unchained Melody” (Righteous Brothers)
4. “Can’t Help Falling In Love” (Elvis Presley)
5. “From This Moment” (Shania Twain)
6. “My Girl” (Temptations)
7. “Making Memories Of Us” (Keith Urban)
8. “Have I Told You Lately” (Rod Stewart)
9. “Heaven” Slow Version (DJ Sammy)
10. “Stand By Me” (Ben E. King)
11. “What A Wonderful World” (Louis Armstrong)
12. “Unforgettable” (Natalie Cole with Nat King Cole)
13. “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” (Bryan Adams)
14. “Come Away With Me” (Norah Jones)
15. “When A Man Loves A Women” (Michael Bolton)
16. “Air” (Rihana)
17. “You’re Beautiful” (James Blunt
18. “All I Want Is You” (U2)
19. “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” (Stevie Wonder)
20. “Your Beautiful” (James Blunt)
There are so many choices these are just a few of the more popular songs. Some Brides are even going along the lines of “I Got A Feelin” by Black Eye Peas or Byonce to make their grand entrance.
Choose a song that reflects your personalities and the theme of your wedding. On the day you will just want to get to your Fiance but take the time to enjoy every step to him!
