Giving Away

I am always reminded during ceremonies about how wonderful dad’s are…Whether it is the pride on their face when they walk their “little princess” down the aisle or the nervous croak in their voice as they give her away. Recently at a wedding I performed during the giving away Dad hijacked the mic to have a few words to his soon-to-be son in law. It was unexpected but an unforgettable and beautiful moment during the ceremony. Dad’s are very cool creatures. Dad’s can be strange creatures but you have to love them for it. They can be slightly daggy, sometimes stubborn but when you see the love they have for their daughter on her wedding day you wouldn’t change them one little bit.
