Ceremonies By Julzz I have had so many couples so nervous on and before their special day that I sat and write this as to some understanding of how to Build self-confidence for your wedding! Wedding day jitters is something most brides and grooms experience at some point. So don’t be surprised if you suddenly find yourself stressing out about—everything! Often couples tell me that their biggest concern is about the actual ceremony. Here are three steps to help you overcome any anxiety you might have about your wedding vows and build some self-confidence for your big day. ♥ Practice, Practice, Practice! If you are someone who isn’t used to speaking in front of an audience (well, even if you are someone who gives speeches for a living), it pays to practice! Stand up straight, don’t lock your knees, hold your written vows and read them aloud. I often use my cat as my practice audience because he is very calming—OK, maybe he is sleeping ☺. The idea is to practice in a low stress environment. Practice smiling while you say the words. Practice the timing and pacing. Practice the volume level. Practice breathing in between sentences. Practice, practice, practice—not only directions to Carnegie Hall—builds your self-confidence! ♥ Visualize! Imagine your amazing wedding day. Imagine getting dressed in your beautiful dress or suit. When considering a Beach Wedding, you need to consider the following: 1. Beach Wedding Locations: Does the spot have a great outlook? You will know when you see the ceremony if this is the spot you want to get married it. Remember your wedding is a reflection of you. Is there enough car parking? Talk to your wedding coordinator about what your car parking options are. Will I need a council Permit? In all public areas you do need a council permit. This can be organised by your wedding coordinator so contact us today. When should I obtain a council permit? Popular Locations book up so be sure to get your permit as soon as you can confirm the location and time. Can guests get down to the beach easily? Consider supplying a map or directions with the invitation if you believe your ceremony location may be hard to find our if you have interstate or international clients coming to your wedding. We can also supply signs to help your wedding planning. Where will everything be set up? Make sure to visit the location with your wedding coordiantor prior to your wedding day to discuss where you would like everything to be set up and positioned. 2. Photography: Does the surrounding area have great backdrops for photos? Where do you want to have photos. Do you want beach photos or garden photos? Look around at the location when choosing to make sure you have the right backdrop for you. Where is the sunlight? Will it be in your eyes? For Sunset Times contact us. You should work this back from what time your reception is, how long you want location photos, and then how long the ceremony will be. We can help you! What shade will there be for the guests? In the summer months it can get quite hot we have some great wedding styling ideas and favours you could do in these warmer months. Ask us today about celebrants we recommend. 4. Wet Weather What happens if it rains? We always discuss with you prior to the day a wet weather plan. It usually is at the reception venue but we also have other options like marquee or hotel/resort venues. Talk to your wedding coordinator about what is the best option for you. When is the decision made? Depending on set up and wet weather plan this can be between 1 to 3 hours before your ceremony. How will my guest know where to go? Make sure you have someone who can send a quick msg to all your guest in the event it should rain.

Ushers Duties

USHERS DUTIES; Ushers are typically close male friends or relatives of the bride and groom. The groom and the best man usually select the ushers. It’s suggested that you have one usher for every 50 guests. Giving someone the role of usher is a nice way to include them in your wedding, particularly if there were a few contenders for the role of best man. Ushers typically direct guests to their seats, make sure everyone has an order of service and knows where they need to be at what time. How do you know who is an usher? Ushers typically dress in the same style of suit as the groom and best man, making them identifiable as part of the groom’s party. Who can be an usher? The groom and best man may select men from their circle of friends to be ushers, and the groom may also ask close male relatives of both the bride and groom, such as brothers or cousins. Ushers’ duties in the run up to the wedding: One year to nine months In this time, the best man and the groom will go to choose the wedding suits. The ushers may be required to come and give their opinions too. It’s important to establish who is paying for the suits. Six months The ushers should attend any necessary suit fittings, organised by the groom and best man. Three months With three months to go before the big day, the focus will be on the buck’s party. Help the best man to plan something amazing, and make sure as many of the groom’s friends can attend as possible. Ushers may be given roles such as getting t-shirts printed or collecting props… One week The ushers should make sure they know what time they need to be at the ceremony, and how they’re getting there. If required, the usher should also attend a wedding rehearsal. If the weather forecast is set to be bad, it’s a good idea to obtain some umbrellas too… The day before Collect any hired clothing and accessories. On the day As an usher, you may be required to collect the buttonholes from the bride’s house. You should also be at the ceremony location half an hour early, ready to greet and seat guests as they arrive, and assist with parking if necessary. If it is raining, the ushers should have umbrellas ready to escort guests into the venue. They will make sure everyone has an order of service, and that no unwanted guests slip in. During the ceremony Unless asked to give a wedding reading, once everyone is seated, the ushers can relax throughout the ceremony. After the ceremony The ushers should direct guests as to where they need to go next, making sure everyone has directions. They should also help to round up guests for photos. An usher’s duties also include making sure the ceremony location is left tidy and everyone has taken their belongings with them. They can also help with seating at the reception venue, and may be required to give drinks to guests. After the wedding Once the wedding is over, the only role left for an usher is to make sure his wedding suit is returned if it has been hired.
